Carolyn Paine

Carolyn Paine is an award winning actor, dancer, choreographer and director. A Boston native who began her training at Boston Ballet, she went on to study at the Academie de Danse Classique de Princesse Grace in Monaco. She has danced professionally with companies including Hartford’s Ballet Theatre Company, Ballet Rox, and Buglisi Dance Theatre. She holds a BA in Theatre and Art History from University of Hartford and is an actress and comedian on stage, television, and national commercials and has performed Off Broadway in NYC. Additionally, she did a  residency in sketch comedy and writing at the famed Second City in Chicago and her comedy writing and direction has won awards at The International Comedy Festival and The Women in Comedy Festival. She is also a regular contributor to The Colin McEnroe Show on WNPR/CT Public.

Beyond performing, she has choreographed and created innovative works for her own company CONNetic Dance with additional credits as a Producer, Director, and Choreographer working with The Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts Emerson Theatre Collaborative, Mohegan Sun, Fever, and DFX Entertainment. She is also on the creative team as a Director and Choreographer for the popular holiday resort show “Pomp Snow & Cirquemstance” by Dream Studios Orlando, alongside Cirque Dreams creator and Broadway producer Neil Goldberg. Carolyn’s immersive dance collaborations with artist and filmmaker Ryan Glista have been featured at the Museum of Science in Boston, Burning Man, WNDR Museum, and LUMA Fest.

Her work has won her four Telly Awards, a Muse Creative Award, and a Communicator Award for her work.
