Ruth Vesenka Lewis is a choreographer and ballet teacher for Ballet Theatre Academy as well as Ballet Mistress for CONNetic Dance. After graduating from the Walnut Hill School for Performing Arts, Ms. Lewis went on to dance professionally with Hartford Ballet, Berkshire Ballet and American Repertory Ballet Company. While dancing with American Repertory she performed the works of George Balanchine, Gerald Arpino, Dermot Burke, Alvin Ailey, Paul Taylor and Septime Webre.
Ms Vesenka has choreographed for CONNetic Dance as well as Ballet Theatre Company, Princeton Ballet School, and Miss Porter' Dance Company. Before joining CONNetic Dance, she was rehearsal assistant for American Repertory Ballet Company and Ballet Mistress for National Ballet of Bermuda.
Ruth was born in Djakarta, Indonesia. She spent the majority of her youth growing up in the bucolic town of Harvard, Massachusetts where her parents owned and operated an American Youth Hostel called Friendly Crossways. She and her husband live in the Hartford area with their two children.
