Alex Zarlengo started dancing by accident when he was six, and for some reason never stopped. He studied dance recreationally at Heidi Parker Catelli's Studio of Dance in his hometown of Mattapoisett, MA, for five years. He began dancing at an intensive level after changing schools to attend Kathy Medina's Studio of Dance, spending six years on their competition team. During this time, Alex studied ballet and jazz at a competitive level, dancing at regional competitions around New England and eventually winning a national soloist title in 2007. Following this Alex began pre-med study majoring in psychological neuroscience at Salve Regina University, where he also began dancing and choreographing for the SRU Dance Club as well as the Extensions Dance Company during the academic year. Alex joined CONNetic Dance in June of 2009, and has toured regionally with them and is looking forward to future performances with CONNetic as well as future pursuits of a dance career in New York. Alex likes to jump and turn.
